Elizabeth II and Prince Philip : Details in a official visit

The monarch and her husband are today and tomorrow on official visit to Slovenia. For those who wonder what a crowned head on these occasions, Stars News tells you everything.

This trip has been planned for several months. This allows time for the host country to organize everything. This time, the Queen and Prince Consort will be present two days in Slovenia, before traveling two days in Slovakia.

The Queen Elizabeth II arrived today in early afternoon in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. She then went to Brdo Castle, where she will be officially welcomed by Mr. Danilo Tuerk, President of the Republic of Slovenia. Then the two heads of state exchanged decorations of their respective countries. Indeed, it is tradition to give an honorary decoration main (the Order of the Garter to the United Kingdom, which is the equivalent of the Order of the Legion of Honor) to the Head of State that we visit and the latter does the same. Then comes the traditional exchange of gifts. Exchange is an excuse to show the technical expertise of countries (china, silverware ...). Then, the Queen attended a music concert. Then, as tradition dictates, the person who gets invited to turn in the embassy of his country. This is what the Queen in the late afternoon. In the evening, a gala dinner meet Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Consort Philip, President Tuerk and his wife, and all officials of the country. The Queen will make a speech official.


Next day the royal couple will visit a farm school, attend demonstrations and will be honored at a reception for the Global Compact United Nations. Then they chair a lunch at their embassy, before going to a discount price.
