World Cup 2010 Quarter-Final:
Argentina 0-4 Germany
Germany are in the
semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup after a surprisingly comfortable
4-0 victory over Argentina at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.
Thomas Müller headed the Germans ahead after just three minutes and
Joachim Löw's men never looked like surrendering the lead.
Miroslav Klose extended the lead in the 67th minute as he tapped
home into an empty net after being fed by Lukas Podolski.
It was 3-0 on 74 minutes when the impressive Bastian Schweinsteiger
waltzed past the Argentina defence before rolling the ball across to
Arne Friedrich to slide in his first international goal.
Amazingly there was still more to come a minute from time when Klose
volleyed home from close range to draw level with Gerd Müller on 14
goals at World Cup finals.
